 Well, another super-successful day of Pain has been and gone. 56 brave-hearted warriors took on the course and an incredible 33 finished all 10. To date almost $10,000 has been raised for Variety WA kids with still more to come.
Hundreds of photos of the day of Painathlon have been added to '2008 Photo's' organised into challenges and ordered by time (as best we could). Don't miss our overall winner Piotr doing Jacobs Ladder in his safari suit to bring it home! Or female champion Jenni Tibbits smashing 41 mins off her own race-record of 2007. Well, seems nothing will stop some people. Especially people such as Phil 'One-man-Painathlon' Lloyd. Phil informed us here at the Painathlon headquarters that due to being unavoidably away for the main event, he did his own Painathlon last saturday finishing all 10 in around 9:50. To prove his sojourn actually took place he got this pic (see right) from the summit of 'The Truth'. May just look like an innocent letterbox but it marks the end of 4.65km of serious up! He even recorded all of his times which are available here if interested. Well done Phil, that deserves some kind of special mention, gold star or something!! |
