Wow, what a day. Firstly let me say if you have ever thought about doing this one get off your butt and do it, awesome event. I managed 9 + 4 laps of Jacobs and was really happy. My pre event calculations had me struggling to make it the the Painultimate in time but I was quite happy to be able to knock it off. I now have 9 punches on my card and a 4 to taunt me for next year. It will be at least a 5 next year, especially if I do more than one 20km ride in training.

The quadcruncher needs to be renamed the bloody ridiculous crawl up a gravel strewn mud slide. For anyone who has done the 6inch trail run you know the bit just after the last checkpoint where it goes down that massive orange hill with three gullies cut through it. Imagine that for 1.7km up then 1.7km down (with a little gully in the middle just for fun) and you get a feel for it. How the hell anyone runs up or down that thing is beyond me. The fastest time there just blows my mind. I may have professed my undying love for christo when I saw him at the turn around I'm not sure, I think I was delirious with joy.

The rest are all enjoyable little jaunts in there own right, putting them all together wow. Just do it. The ride into that easterly was a treat as well.

Quite glad to have my suspicions confirmed about Koops that was bloody hilarious once I found out. How the hell did he beat me to the top of the Zig Zag with meat pie in tow.

Thanks so much to all the volunteers and organisers and my Wife and kids for egging me on up the truth.

Legs today not too bad at all really little tight in the hammies just rest up for the big ambulance run in the City to Surf marathon now

Really don't be put off get in and do it next year.
